Slemani, Kurdistan – Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation and the Kurdistan Film Commission have officially formed a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU was signed by Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation CEO Zagros Deryn Latif Rashid and Kurdistan Film Commission founder and Head of the Commission Bavi Yassin. This agreement represents a significant step forward for both organizations, with an emphasis on creating new opportunities on both a national and international level.

The collaboration aims to strengthen various sectors within the media and film industries, facilitating growth and cooperation between the two entities. By leveraging their combined resources and expertise, the partnership seeks to open new paths for industry professionals, filmmakers, and content creators in the Kurdistan region.

“This partnership is not just a formal agreement but a pivotal moment in our efforts to enhance the region's role in the global media and film industries,” said Bavi Yassin. “We are focused on positioning Kurdistan as a key destination for filmmaking and look forward to executing the projects we have discussed with Mr. Deryn.”

Both organizations expressed optimism regarding the potential impact of the collaboration, which they believe will boost the local creative industry. While the Kurdistan Film Commission remains dedicated to promoting the region within the international film community, Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation continues to prioritize media development and the promotion of cultural initiatives.

With the MOU now in place, the two parties are poised to move forward with projects that aim to take Kurdsat beyond the borders of the Kurdistan Region, further cementing the area's growing presence in the global media landscape.
