LMGI Representatives Complete Location Familiarisation Tour in Kurdistan

The Kurdistan Film Commission hosted John Rakich and Andrea Keener of the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) for a multi-day familiarisation tour across the region.

The programme introduced a range of filming environments, beginning with Slemani’s old neighbourhoods and bazaar before moving to key natural locations, including the shores of Dukan Lake and Ranya. The tour also featured visits to Jasana Cave and the prominent peak of Tuni Baba.

Each location was selected to highlight the region’s accessibility, cultural depth, and cinematic potential for international productions.

The visit aligns with the Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen global industry connections and expand awareness of Kurdistan as a growing destination for film and television projects.
